Sports Coach - Northampton, Northamptonshire - Start after October Half Term - £90-100 per day depending on experience

Open to sports coaches, graduates instructors and teachers we are looking for staff to support across the department and support with both theory and practical lessons, sports clubs at their state of the art School. We are actively seeking enthusiastic Sports Science graduates to join our team and contribute to the development of young athletes.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with high-quality seasonal lessons sessions, focusing on specific sports disciplines such as football, basketball, tennis, athletics, and more.
  • Plan and execute well-structured training programs, catering to the needs and abilities of individual students
  • Provide technical instruction, demonstrating proper techniques and skills required for each sport.
  • Develop training drills and activities that improve athletes' physical fitness, agility, coordination, and teamwork.
  • Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and positive values among the children, fostering a safe and inclusive sporting environment.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Sports Science or recent relevant experience.
  • Passion for sports coaching and working with young athletes.
  • Sound knowledge of specific sports disciplines and their associated rules, techniques, and training methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate athletes of different ages and abilities.
  • Organisational skills to plan and deliver effective coaching sessions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, depending on training schedules and competitions.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or willingness to obtain them (e.g., FA Level 1, Basketball Level 2, LTA Accreditation, etc.).
