Latin Teacher - Independent Co-ed Prep School, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

We are delighted to be recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Latin Teacher on behalf of a highly-regarded Independent Co-educational Prep School located in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time teaching position to commence in September 2025, offering a rewarding opportunity to teach Latin to pupils in Years 6 to 8 (Key Stages 2 and 3).

Position Details:

  • Start Date: 1st September 2025

  • Contract: Minimum two terms (potential for extension)

  • Salary: In line with the MPS (London Fringe)

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

  • Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire (easily accessible from Radlett, Bushey, and surrounding areas)

  • School Setting: Beautifully situated campus with a strong Humanities faculty and a nurturing environment

About the Role:

We're looking for a teacher with a genuine passion for classical languages and a flair for making Latin come alive in the classroom. Your role will involve:

  • Teaching Latin across Years 6-8 with creativity and enthusiasm

  • Helping pupils build solid foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and translation

  • Introducing students to Roman history, mythology, and classical texts

  • Supporting extracurricular activities and contributing to wider school life
