Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis in a number of schools across Blackpool.
The successful candidates will work 1:1 with a child on a daily basis, supporting their learning and development.
As an LSA, you must have a positive mindset and strong engagement skills to support students' progress. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport with students effectively.
Key Skills:
A good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs, with appropriate strategies to support pupils with these needs.
Knowledge and understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as cognitive needs that affect children's and young people's development.
Excellent listening skills.
The ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
Resilience and the ability to take responsibility for agreed learning goals.
Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities.
Use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies.
