This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to make a real impact in a vibrant school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement learning strategies and interventions.

  • Assist with classroom activities, helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

  • Offer one-to-one and small-group support, adapting approaches to suit individual student needs.

  • Foster students' confidence, independence, and social development.

  • Collaborate with the SENCO and wider pastoral team to monitor progress and provide feedback.

  • Maintain a safe and positive learning atmosphere in line with school policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.

  • Experience supporting students with SEND is essential.

  • A valid DBS on the update service is required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and patient approach to supporting young learners.

  • Commitment to the role for the remainder of the academic year.
