Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher in the Ashford area, to support primary-aged pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The children face multiple barriers to learning, including challenges in communication, cognition, sensory (vision and hearing), and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons that address individual learning and development needs.
  • Utilise innovative communication strategies, such as Makaton or AAC, to engage students effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to implement tailored support plans.
  • Provide sensory-rich and interactive learning experiences to enhance student engagement.
  • Monitor progress through detailed observation and assessment, adapting approaches as necessary.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
