Tutor

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Are you looking for a par time, tuition role at a 'OFSTED Good' school in the East Riding of Yorkshire? Tradewind are representing a school in Pocklington, who are looking for a Tutor to work on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, between the hours of 8:30AM and 1PM. This is a temporary position and is to start ASAP, until the end of the academic year. The role will be paid between £25 - 30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging sessions on: Maths, English and Science to a student in year 8 who is currently unable to work in a classroom environment. Most of the planning will be made available to you, but there may be some developing existing schemes of work to match the exact need of the student that is expected for the tutor. There may be some need (depending on funding) for this role to continue into the new academic year, which will be decided later.

The school has free parking on site that is available for all temporary and permanent staff. They are part of a small academy trust in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and work with this school could lead to further work in the future.

The school has a strong leadership team and SEND department who will be on hand to assist with this booking at all times. Working with Tradewind gives access to the national college, a huge collection of online resources that can help to upskill any tutor or teacher.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification (a PGCE in FE is also suitable for this role)
• Have experience working with students in a similar capacity
• Have patience and empathy with young people
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or the willingness to get one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover your full career history
• Legal right to work in the UK
