SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Rainham.

Supporting a Year 3 child with Autism, you will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and have a nurturing and empathetic personality to build a strong rapport with the learner. You will be there to support the child emotionally, socially and academically.

Located in Rainham, the primary school are committed to providing an education that enables all pupils to realise their dreams, goals and ambitions, demonstrating their supportive ethos. They aim to motivate and engage children by delivering a rich and broad curriculum that inspires pupils to become life-long and responsible learners. Having parking on-site and having nearby bus and train stations, the school is easily accessible by car and public transport.

This would be a full-time, long-term post starting in September 2024, lasting until the end of the academic year. There would be potential to transfer onto a permanent role after successful completion of this period.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Have a warm and nurturing approach when working with children.
Be confident working with children with challenging behaviour.
Available 8.30 - 3.30, Monday to Friday.
Live within commutable distance of Rainham.
