Hours of Work: Term Time Monday - Friday 8.15-16.15, Other: 8.30-15.30 (Inset Days to be advised)
Tradewind Recruitment Liverpool are currently recruiting a Pastoral Manager in one of our secondary schools based in Liverpool.
The secondary school is looking for a full-time Pastoral Manager to start ASAP. This will be to cover a Maternity Leave.
The successful Pastoral Manager will be joining a school of pupils aged 11-18 and will be expected to uphold the Mission Statement of the school in keeping with the Catholic ethos.
The role of the Pastoral Manager is to:
- Ensure that all pupils feel safe and valued
- Support the DSL in managing referrals, preventing radicalisation and assessing risk.
- Carry out audits, evidence and reporting.
- Deliver training alongside the DSL.
- Ensure record keeping is timely, accurate, comprehensive and securely stored within school platforms (including SIMS, Classcharts and CPOMS).
- Support the Headteacher in carrying out the aims and objectives of the school.
- Ensure the highest standards of behaviour, safety, attendance and punctuality are promoted and maintained across the year group.
- Work with pupils and in partnership with parents, appropriate staff and other agencies to bring about improved behaviour and attendance in the school.
- Ensure the highest quality of provision, encouraging all pupils to reach their full potential, providing support where necessary.
- Ensure pupils are well prepared for entry into the key stage and the next stage of their development.
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience working in a pastoral role, forming relationships with parents/careers
- An understanding of safeguarding in schools and a commitment to the wellbeing of all the pupils
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in relevant discipline
- Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
- Full and complete 10 year career history
- Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
- Legal right to work in the UK
