Sanza Teaching Agency is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Greenwich. About the Role:

  • Position: EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Greenwich, London
  • Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to children with Special Educational Needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of engaging and inclusive activities that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Encouraging and promoting independent learning and social interaction among students.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment conducive to the overall well-being and development of pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, preferably within an Early Years setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs, Education, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach towards supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • An understanding of EYFS curriculum and strategies for promoting early development and learning.
